Oh my lord!
Husb treated me to this Mason Pearson Hair Brush!
I have been lusting after a Mason Pearson for years and years.  The English-made, natural boar bristle, original rubber brush is the ultimate in hair luxury.  They are made mostly by hand on my favorite street in London (Bond!) and last pretty much forever.
This was such a thoughtful, awesome and impressive gift!
(Simon.  Wow.  Thank you.  Thank you!)

 So excited for Emily, who I’m pretty sure I’ve begun living vicariously through over the course of my first month of tumblring (those shoes!  being petite!  running!).  Happy birthday to her!
On the Mason Pearson: my all time fav stylist (who moved away a couple of months before my wedding - the nerve!) gave the most luxurious blowouts with the help of this guy.  So I splurged and bought one, thinking (so stupidly) that I’d be able to replicate the magnificence.  Shock: I could not.  After months of frustration (for some reason, boar bristles brushes are unweildy for me?), I threw it out.
$ wasting to the max.
Better luck to the birthday girl, who I’m pretty sure won’t end up similarly frazzled, by the looks of her enviably smooth coif!!
