Try as we might (twice!), P and I weren’t able to get into Mad Men.  He didn’t like it at all, and I couldn’t justify watching such a slow-moving show with my love for the period looks. Like the show itself, the cast underwhelmed me at the Goldne Globes.  Joan’s dress makes her look huge instead of voluptuous (although her face is still stunning) and Jan Jones’ is just weird - I had high hopes after her racy GQ cover.  Lizzie looks darling, if not true to her plain-jane character. Bring it next time, ladies!
